Journal doodles

Simple journal doodles for an everyday page

Journal drawings work best when they record one small detail. A cup, leaf, window or pair of shoes can make an ordinary page feel specific and yours.

Try these steps

  1. Mark the moment

Pick one object from the day, such as a mug, book or bicycle. Draw its main outline and one texture instead of trying to make a perfect picture.

  2. Build a three-icon row

Add three tiny symbols for the day: a sun or cloud, a feeling face and a small object you noticed. Repeat the row whenever you want a quick visual log.

  3. Connect the icons

Use a dotted line, tiny arrows or a loose border to connect the symbols. Let the line wobble. A journal doodle should look like a record of a moment.
